On Thursday, April 9th there will be a military luminary service and presentation at the Woodland Heights Cemetery. Join us at 7 p.m.; taps are played at 9:00 p.m.
The Woodland Heights Organization (WHO) is a non-profit neighborhood organization, made up of concerned residents in Des Moines, Iowa. Working with government agencies, businesses and community members, we strive to improve Woodland Heights and the neighboring communities.

Grand Army Republic – honoring civil war vets in period attire
Fence Update – Polk County/Lisa vote still out; application
for grant is in (financial statement provided)
Greater DSM Foundation meeting – identified right steps were
being taken to get grants, etc.

Can we have a brochure ready by the 4/9 event at
the cemetery for donations ?

different projects around the cemetery

Looking for funds to repair stones; grant

Deanna Clausen - Barry looking for listing of
potential donors based on those family members that are interned at the
cemetery
Need to contact IRS to get letter for IRS to prove
non-profit status. Really need for grant
files.
Need to set-up account to start collecting funds – need
40-50% of funds raised in the account before NIC and other grants will release
additional grants

Veridian is going to donate $5,000 and other
items for the project
